Whether it is an emergency or Saturday yard work, you want your tools to start when you need them. But ethanol in today’s street gasoline absorbs moisture, forms deposits in carburetors and degrades fuel systems, often making portable gas-powered tools difficult or impossible to start. VP has leveraged its experience in performance fuel technology to develop VP Small Engine Fuel, an advanced industry-leading fuel for 2-Cycle and 4-Cycle outdoor power equipment.

Formulated with no ethanol, VP-SEF protects fuel systems from ethanol-related damage, avoids costly repairs, improves performance and remains stable during long-term storage. VP Small Engine Fuel can be used in everything from string trimmers and chainsaws to pressure washers, generators and mowers. With its 94-octane formula, VP-SEF provides optimum performance in a wider range of small engine applications than any other fuel on the market. By protecting the fuel system, VP Small Engine Fuel extends the engine life of gas-powered tools. This also avoids extra cost of repairs and downtime while achieving optimum performance and long-term durability with small engines.

  • Remains stable through the off-season and beyond in equipment fuel cells
  • 2 years in the tank and 5 years in the sealed container
  • Prevent ethanol-related issues and corrosion problems that fuel stabilizers cannot fix
  • Includes the highest quality components ensuring better throttle response, lower operating temperatures and increased power
  • Backed by VP racing fuels, with 37 plus years’ experience in formulating leading-edge fuels for performance applications worldwide
  • Provides both quicker and more dependable starts and burns cleaner while giving your small engine precisely what it needs to operate consistently at peak performance.

4-Cycle Fuel: Ethanol-Free Small Engine Fuel

VP fuel passes the warranty requirements of all 4-cycle engine manufacturers. It contains no oil and passes the warranty requirements of all 4-cycle engine manufacturers, including Briggs and Stratton, Kawasaki, Kohler, Honda, and many more.

VP's 94 octane 4 cycle fuel is ethanol-free and formulated with higher-grade base stocks and components. It also provides for VP 4 Cycle Fuel helps you avoid costly repairs and rebuilds of your outdoor power equipment resulting from ethanol-blended pump gas.

Advantages of VP 4-Cycle Small Engine Fuel

  • Protects fuel systems and saves carburetors - no gummy deposits or varnish
  • Eliminates the need for and cost of adding fuel stabilizers
  • Contains no extra additives - just what is needed. No more and no less.

50:1 Premixed 2-Cycle Small Engine Fuel

VP 50:1 premixed fuel is ethanol-free and remains stable for two years in the tank and five years in a sealed can. It features a JASO FD oil package.

VP 50:1 mix is a 94 octane, ethanol-free small engine premix fuel for 2-cycle engines that run outdoor power equipment. It's ready to use and features the perfect oil and gas mix ratio, saving you time and mess from mixing your own 50:1 gas. Designated specifically for 2-cycle gas-powered engines in outdoor power equipment that require a 50:1 gas-oil mix. These engines run hotter and demand better care and maintenance.

Furthermore, the lubricant package in VP 50:1 fuel mix meets or exceeds JASO FD, ISO-L-EGD, API TC standards, and all manufacturers' specs, including Stihl, Husqvarna, Echo, Maruyama, Shindaiwa, and more!

Advantages of VP 50:1 Mix Small Engine Fuel

  • Premixed perfectly - every time! No more hassling with making your own 50:1 gas oil mix
  • Extends engine life and improves the performance of outdoor power equipment
  • Helps to prevent costly repairs and rebuilds
  • Eliminates the need for and cost of adding fuel stabilizers

If you've been using pump gasoline and have 2-cycle outdoor power equipment that won't start, learn how VP Fix-It-Fuel will quickly fix it for you. Fix-It-Fuel works excellent on all 2-cycle and 4-cycle small engines found in outdoor power equipment.

Why Not Pump Gas?
Most people use pump gas in their expensive outdoor power equipment, assuming that if it's good enough for their car, it's good enough for their hedge trimmer, string trimmer, or chainsaw. Unfortunately, that's the WORST thing you could do unless you like the idea of regularly spending money on repairs or replacing equipment.

For example, pump gas contains ethanol, which absorbs water as it sits in the gas tank. Water promotes corrosion, which eats away those vital components in your expensive equipment. In addition, ethanol can also damage plastic and rubber fuel system components. Besides that, pump gas degrades fast and forms gums faster, which causes equipment to operate less efficiently and, even worse, to fail.

What Fuel Should I Use In My Lawn Mower?
If you're like most, pump gas is your 4 cycle fuel choice for your lawn mower, generator, pressure washer, or other 4-cycle equipment. Did you know that pump gas could be destroying your equipment? You might think if pump gas is good enough for your vehicle, it should be perfectly fine for, say, your lawnmower.

In reality, this is not the case. Why? The big issue is ethanol, which is an oxygenate additive. Ethanol is fine for cars and trucks, but not for small engines. For one thing, ethanol absorbs water, which promotes corrosion. Corrosion eats at the small vital components of your expensive outdoor power equipment. Before you know it, you're spending hundreds of dollars to get an engine rebuild for your lawn mower, or even worse, spending a lot more to buy new equipment.

Moreover, pump gas degrades very quickly and forms gums and varnish faster. Subsequently, you can't store it long-term unless you spend more money on a fuel stabilizer. Remember that while fuel stabilizers help to a degree, they can't undo any damage already caused by pump gas.

As a result, a 4 cycle engine in outdoor power equipment should ONLY use a specifically designed, high-quality fuel that's made for lawn mowers and other small 4 cycle engines.
