Removable/Washable Nomex Chinstrap

Chinstrap Features:

• Removable/Washable—The chinstraps are easily removed and replaced so they can be cleaned with other fire helmet soft goods.1
• Compliant—The chinstraps are certified to NFPA 1971-2018 and NFPA 1951-2013 to work on MSA Cairns® Fire Helmets.
• Retrofit/Upgrade—The new chinstraps are easily retrofittable to MSA Cairns Fire Helmets currently in service (manufactured on or before December 2019).2
• Standard Offering—The NEW Standard on ALL MSA Cairns Helmets manufactured after January 2, 2020.

All MSA Fire Helmets manufactured on or after January 2, 2020, have the new Removable/Washable Chinstraps installed as a standard.

1. The new chinstraps were washed up to 52 times using the instructions provided in the operating manual.
2.  For 1010/44 fire helmets manufactured prior to November 2015, a 1010/1044 impact cap replacement upgrade kit will be required; these include the removable chinstrap
